Democratic vice presidential nominee Senator Tim Kaine tried to help the media as they focused on Hillary Clinton's emails yet again, by reminding them that Donald Trump is the actual danger to national security.
"A president was impeached and had to resign over an attack on the DNC during the presidential election in 1972".
The Clinton and Trump campaigns traded barbs over which presidential candidate Americans can trust, two days after the Federal Bureau of Investigation released notes from its July interview with Hillary Clinton concerning her handling of emails as secretary of state.
"On the other hand, we've got a candidate in Donald Trump who won't release his tax returns after he promised to do so", Kaine said.
Clinton has repeatedly said her use of private email was allowed. The documents, first sent to Congress, revealed the former Secretary of State used thirteen devices and Clinton used the phrase "do not recall" 39 times about various questions. Trump said, "I will tell you this, Russia: If you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing".
Pence's comment comparing Clinton to Nixon came a day after the FBI released a 58-page summary of its investigation into the Democrat's e-mail usage during her years as the top USA diplomat.

Civil protection officials said only 37 coffins would be on hand, since many families had opted for private funerals elsewhere. And the search for the dead continues, with up to 10 more bodies are believed to still be under the mounds of rubble.
The FBI later interviewed the staffer, who said she had never used Tor. FBI Director James Comey said that while Clinton and her aides had been "extremely careless", there was no evidence they intentionally mishandled classified information.
"Look, I don't think you can make an argument that the relationship with Russian Federation is in a good place right now", he admitted. In a taped interview with NBC's "Meet the Press" that aired Sunday, Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana, Trump's running mate, called Clinton "the most dishonest candidate for president of the United States since Richard Nixon". Putin said on September 1.
Clinton's use of the private server has shadowed her presidential campaign for a year.
Kaine also pushed back against the assertion that Clinton has refused to hold a news conference for more than 270 days, pointing to reporters' questions that the Democratic nominee took early last month at the joint convention of the National Association of Black Journalists and the National Association of Hispanic Journalists.
Raddatz also challenged Kaine on Clinton's role in the Obama administration's so-called "Russia reset", a strategy that has come under harsher scrutiny in recent years, both thanks to Russian aggression in Ukraine, and the coziness between the Trump campaign and Russian president Vladmir Putin, which has become a point of attack for the Clinton camp.
Although most polls show Clinton leading Trump nationally, the margin has narrowed and majorities of Americans view both Clinton and Trump unfavorably. Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine are continuing their three-day bus tour through Pennsylvania and Ohio.
