The 76ers are sending Ersan Ilyasova to the Hawks for Tiago Splitter and two second-round picks, per the Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski. While reports have yet to indicate what second rounders are to be included, Atlanta now owns the Brooklyn Nets' and the Miami Heat's second rounders for this year and the Washington Wizards' second-round selection in 2019.
The Hawks and 76ers will also swap second round picks as part of the deal, according to Wojnarowski. They will return from the All-Star break in fifth place in the Eastern Conference, a half-game behind Toronto. "We are excited to welcome Ersan", said Hawks coach and president of basketball operations Mike Budenholzer. The former Spurs center averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in a Hawks uniform.
The 76ers are 13th in the East, ahead of only Orlando and Brooklyn. The 29-year-old is averaging 14.3 points per game and 5.9 rebounds per game.
WWE Rumors: Finn Balor Returning to Raw Soon?
It's not an ideal spot for the first-ever WWE Universal champion, but a realistic possibly if there's nothing for him to do. He is now reportedly undergoing a tough rehab schedule in order to obtain clearance to participate in WrestleMania 33.
Financially, this move doesn't damage either team, as both players are on expiring deals worth similar money. He will be a free agent at the end of the season.
Ilyasova, who can become a free agent after the season, was traded with a 2020 first-round pick by Oklahoma City to the 76ers for Jerami Grant on November 1, 2016.
Splitter was a useful piece early last season for the Hawks, but multiple injuries relegated him to Atlanta's inactive list for most of the past two seasons.
