A teaser poster of Samsung Electronics Co.'s presumed Galaxy S8 smartphone. The Indian variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus will offer dual sim capability and storage expansion via a hybrid slot.
It has been previously reported that the Galaxy Note 7 debacle will not have as bad of an impact as previously thought on the sales of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, with the finding coming from a survey launched by marketing group Fluent.
As for the recycling of the Galaxy Note 7 phones, Samsung says that components such as semiconductors and camera modules will be detached by companies specializing in such services and used for test sample production purposes. This device has been leaked from almost every angle and in every single way - so much so that there's more of a question of what we don't know than what we do. Ahead of the official launch, details about the Samsung Galaxy S8 have leaked multiple times, leaving little to our imaginations. Of course, the one with a 6.2-inch display will be called the Galaxy S8+.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is also likely to look quite different from the front, as unlike the S7 it won't have a home button beneath the screen, with the fingerprint scanner instead moved to the back, where it will sit alongside the camera.
Democrats Will Try to Block Neil Gorsuch Confirmation
There's also an important political goal that can be served by elevating this controversy, even if Gorsuch can't be stopped. Bob Casey both said Thursday they'd vote no on Gorsuch's nomination.
Samsung has not revealed yet, how it will go about doing this, but the tech giant is reportedly considering alternative methods as well should the Note 7s not be sold again. A new version of the Gear VR headset is expected to be released alongside the Galaxy S8 and S8+. However, leaks claim that despite the theoretical WQHD+ resolution, both smartphones will ship with 1080p displays in order to conserve battery life.
At this rate, we might see Samsung lose a lot of their customers to some other flagship models before their Samsung Galaxy S8 arrives.
Samsung's big March 29 event is just a few days away, finally ending the deluge of Galaxy S8 leaks that have been flowing in non-stop for quite a while now.
But Jan Dawson of Jackdaw Research said the decision "feels like a huge misstep" for Samsung as it readies a launch of its latest flagship handset this week. That's exactly the same size as the Samsung Galaxy S7's and a bit of a worry, since it needs to power a much larger screen with more pixels.
