The tornado cut a path that was 25 to 50 yards wide and snapped trees at the country club, according to the weather service. Several buildings were damaged by a confirmed EF-0 tornado that impacted Antreville, Anderson County, South Carolina yesterday, Thursday April 6, with estimated wind speeds of around 80 miles per hour (130 mk/hr).
The tornado touched down at Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling in Southeast at 1:41 p.m., according to NWS, which also reports that a tornado hit Herdon, Virginia five minutes earlier.
The severe weather outbreak was the second to hit the South in less than a week, but no deaths or significant injuries had been reported as of Wednesday evening.
The high winds knocked down trees and power lines.
A tornado warning is active in north Chambers County.
"And we have reports of homes damaged in Sandbridge in Virginia Beach and we will be going out to survey that tomorrow", says Zimmerman.

Meteorologist Jeff Orrock said Thursday that investigators have been dispatched to the city of Chesapeake and the towns of Kilmarnock and Irvington.
"There's damage in the Sandbridge area that could possibly be tornado damage", he said.
The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Macon County until 9:30 p.m.
Webster's Farmers business building was heavily damaged by the storms, with most of the roof caving in.
