Balch Springs Police Chief Jonathan Haber said Monday that police video contradicts his department's original statement about the high school freshman's killing by officers investigating an underage drinking complaint at a house party Edwards was leaving.
According to News Affairs, the officers were performing a follow-up investigation on a previous incident at about 9 p.m. when two vehicles pulled up and occupants "began firing indiscriminately in the direction of the officers".
