J&K chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi alone can resolve Kashmir and take its people out of the bog.
He said that Mufti's declaration of Modi being Kashmir's "only hope" was ironic and ridiculous in the backdrop of the Advocate General of India's statement in the Supreme Court ruling out any possibility of talks with various stakeholders in Kashmir including the separatists.
In 2015, PM Modi had paid a surprise visit to Pakistan -the first visit to Pakistan by an Indian premier in more than 10 years. "Parents should be careful about the future (of their wards)", he said, adding, "We need to see what education these institutions are imparting to our children". Aur yehi wajah hai ki woh ek gantey ke andar Pakistan chaley gaye, wahan ke prime minister se mile. "It's a sign of strength that PM Modi visited Lahore in just an hour. But unfortunately Mufti was out of the government and Vajpayeeji left, and the process came to a grinding halt", she said.
Vohra has reportedly submitted a detailed report on Kashmir to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and to PM Modi. "Kashmir has been facing challenges not because of coalition government, but the situation in the valley has been existing for long", said Singh.
Charak, who later walked out of the hall in protest, was heckled by some workers after conclusion of the function.
Neymar to stand trial over fraud allegations, faces possible jail time
It is believed that prosecutors are seeking fines worth €10 million (R150 million) for the Neymar family. However, DIS also recommended that Neymar be banned from playing football during any judicial sentence.
Mehbooba said the situation in Kashmir is not good and blamed the previous Congress-led UPA government in the centre for the prevailing anger and alienation among people in Kashmir.
They warned that Kashmiri people or vehicles from the state will not be allowed to enter Punjab if Amarnath Yatra was disturbed this time.
Mufti cautioned people against the nefarious designs of some "negative" elements, who she said want to derail the developmental process in the state by creating an "atmosphere of hate".
"The projects under the Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA) are also moving at a slow pace...the municipal corporation is known for its inefficiency...there are garbage dumps lying throughout the cities and no regularity is maintained in cleaning drains and streets of the cities", he said.
