Initially, it was believed the woman was abducted from Sohna but Noida Police later said she was picked near Gurgaon's MG Road Metro station and taken to Noida and then Greater Noida, in an incident which has put the spotlight back on the lack of safety for women in the national capital and areas surrounding it. She has injuries from the assault that took place last night, but was able to accompany investigators to the road in Greater Noida where she was thrown from the auto.
The woman was abducted from near her house in Sohna in Gurugram district around 8.30 p.m. on Monday by three men in a Swift vehicle.
A team of Uttar Pradesh Police headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police visited Gurugram on Tuesday to investigate the crime.
Police said the woman, who hails from Rajasthan, had come to Gurgaon in search of work a fortnight ago, and was staying with relatives in Sohna.
Meanwhile, the victim is undergoing treatment at a private hospital where she was admitted for medical examination.

"Working on CCTV footage and other important info, trying to get in touch with victim's family", he added. All the three men were arrested and a case registered against them.
