Other stores were closed earlier this year and now eight Sears stores remain in the state, almost all accompanied by an auto center. Even still, results are expected to come slow, as the company does not expect to meet obligation in the next 12 months.
"We understand that members may be disappointed when we close a store, but our Shop Your Way membership platform, websites and mobile apps allow us to maintain these valued relationships long after a store closes its doors", the company said. Sears has also been selling locations and putting some of its famous brands up for sale.
Despite mass closures, the company has announced a few store openings as well, including the grand opening of its first Sears Appliances & Mattresses store Thursday in Pharr, TX.
The company declined to say how many people work at the store, but said eligible employees will receive severance and may apply for open positions at other Sears or Kmart stores.
Sears announced this spring that it lost more than $2 billion past year.

A Kmart in York County will close in the near future, according to a report.
