Even still, the team-up we've all been dying to see between Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Danny Rand doesn't happen immediately; it takes a few episodes for all four of the show's protagonists to get settled back in their own status quo first, with each separate world delineated from one another via color grading so dramatic that it's occasionally nearly distracting.
The team-up is coming after two seasons of "Daredevil" and one season each of "Iron Fist", "Luke Cage", and "Jessica Jones". Mike Colter (Luke Cage), and Iron Fist (Finn Jones) will work together to bring down the criminal empire known as The Hand. So I feel a great level of responsibility.
The heroes fare even worse, because they've got to go around resolving the plot issues left over from their own shows. The show uses this trip down memory lane to update the viewer on what has been happening with each hero and their corresponding NY neighbourhood.
Sensex, Nifty Rally After Late Surge
In pre-open market, Sensex touched 31,927.51 higher by 157 points, while Nifty was up 49 points at 9,945.55. BSE Sensex ended 320 points higher and the Nifty ended just a tad below 9900.
Judging from the amount of gun-fire and violence in the clip, it could be one of best things to come out of the Marvel universe in a while. Why is a secret organization making super soldiers in Jessica Jones? Possibly. Probably not. We have five more episodes to find out. While I was shooting the show I was also designing for the next show. Jones' Iron Fist is hinted at to be the show's comic relief.
Luke Cage, the famous Hero of Harlem, is now behind bars after his secret identity and previous conviction were uncovered. With such a short first season (eight episodes), the first two episodes are spent spinning its wheels introducing the main cast from where we last saw them then slowly drawing them together for an penultimate fight at the close of episode three. Heck, if Game of Thrones can cover dozens of characters across Westeros in seven episodes this season, there's no reason why The Defenders should have to be any longer. "I can see you've formed a bond here", she observes.
The first four episodes of The Defenders released to critics have gotten solid reviews (I can also attest that it's pretty good), and it looks like the miniseries is shaping up to do a solid job of bringing all these characters together into one story. When I took on this character, I wasn't like, 'What's his powers?' I was like, 'What are his struggles? While inside, a maniacal prison guard chose to use him for experimentation.
