All four shows saw their most-watched episode during the week with Supergirl receiving 3.5 million views, The Flash receiving 4.15 million views, Arrow with 3.55 million views, and DC's Legends of Tomorrow at 3.39 million views.
DC TV fans were disappointed when The CW's first four superhero crossover event in 2016 didn't actually take over all four shows - specifically that the crossover only kicked off at the tail end of an otherwise normal episode of Supergirl.
"Last year's (crossover) was the most successful week in CW history in terms of ratings and everything, said Pedowitz".
"We felt that, in this particular case, we already had "Flash" and "Legends" paired", he said. After discussing with the marketing department and the producers, they came up with the decision to make this year's crossover feel "like a two two hour mini-series". Unlike the previous episodes though, the events will be crammed into a two-night span. "They're all big episodic productions but this one will be even bigger".

Last year, the crossover event barely hit "Supergirl", with the events of "Invasion!" only affecting the last couple minutes of the Monday night portion. Yes, the Girl of Steel herself got to participate, but we didn't get to see our other favorite heroes venturing to National City.
