Making its debut earlier this week, the Polestar 1 is the first vehicle from the standalone brand now that it has officially separated from Volvo. Now, someone has chose to explore the idea of a dreamy convertible by chopping off the fixed metal roof.
First, it needs to set up a factory in Chengdu, China set to be operational by the middle of next year. It will be called as the Polestar 1 and the production is expected to start by mid-2019. In 2020, Polestar will launch the Polestar 2, a small electric sedan that will challenge the Tesla Model 3.
Polestar 1 also received a phone-as-key ("phone as a key") which allows you to open the auto using the app on the smartphone.
