South Africa go into the second Test next week aiming to double their victory, whilst Bangladesh will be hoping to put their recent woes behind them and level the series. Bangladesh lost seven wickets for 41 runs in less than an hour and a half as they were bowled out for 90 after being set 424 to win. This is the second-best position by a South Africa spinner after Paul Harris (sixth in December 2009) since their return to Test cricket.
Unluckily, the Potchefstroom Test only unbreakable what we already suspect so this match is just like a contest between South Africa and Bangladesh. I think on day one it will be a bit slow but then there'll be some bounce and it will quicken up towards day three and four.
Here we look at all the key stats and numbers ahead of the 2nd Test match.
12 - Number of Test matches Keshav Maharaj needed to complete 50 Test wickets which is the 3rd fewest for a South African to reach 50 Test wickets since their readmission to cricket in 1992.
BWS: Maria & Lee Are Both "Potential Threats"
On the forecast track, Maria's center will begin to turn slowly away from the coast of North Carolina later today and tonight. Meteorologists are now watching the progress of hurricanes Lee and Maria as they take curved tracks across the North Atlantic.
Cobras' coach Ashwell Prince said the track was so flat both teams felt they could "bat for another week", and that was not a good thing. "At times Marchant was the aggressor and other times we changed roles with me being more aggressive".
Rabada claimed three quick wickets, starting with captain Mushfiqur Rahim, to more than fill the void left by the injury to fellow strike bowler Morne Morkel, who has been ruled out for six weeks with a side strain he suffered on Sunday.
Andile Phehlukwayo made his debut in the first Test, Duanne Olivier has just four Test caps, Parnell has accumulated five, while Paterson would be making his Test bow should he be selected.
"Of course, Morne is a massive loss". "KG [Rabada] will be leading the attack now and I can learn a lot from him". They can take a step forward if they can score runs in this game, particularly in the absence of Tamim.
