The social media company also revealed that RT, a propaganda news site linked to the Kremlin, spent at least $274,100 in U.S. ads on Twitter.
The news comes after Facebook acknowledged foreign entities linked to Russian Federation paid to promote political messages on the leading social network, potentially violating U.S. election laws.
The intelligence committees on Wednesday asked executives from technology companies including Facebook, Alphabet Inc's Google and Twitter, to testify at a public hearing on November 1 about alleged Russian interference.
In an online statement, Twitter said it had looked at around 450 accounts shared by Facebook, after that social network conducted a similar investigation, and found that 22 had corresponding Twitter accounts.

About investigations into Russian interference in the 2016 elections, Twitter informed that they are in dialogue with congressional committees.
"The presentation that the Twitter team made to the Senate Intel staff today was deeply disappointing", said Senator Mark Warner, D-Virginia. The Twitter accounts, which were taken down over the last month, were linked to 470 accounts and pages that Facebook traced to the International Research Agency, a Russian troll farm.
