This very same auto was stretched to its Earth-scorching limits by factory test driver Niklas Lilja on Saturday, along an 11-mile (17.7 km) piece of public highway near Las Vegas on Saturday that had been shut down by Nevada authorities for the attempt. Koenigsegg's Agera RS has set a new benchmark for a production vehicle, with an astounding average speed of 277 miles per hour (447 km/h) on a public highway in Nevada.
Swedish high-performance auto manufacturer Koenigsegg has broken the top speed record for a production vehicle.
Oreo Android 8.0 Beta will soon be available for Samsung gadgets
Samsung calls the program the Samsung Experience 9 .0 beta , referring to its Android-based system previously known as TouchWiz. Two of the best Android smartphones on the market will be betting an update to Android 8.0 Oreo in the not-too-distant future.
Even the much lower average was high enough to eclipse the record set by Bugatti's Veyron 16.4 Super Sport in 2010, itself a blistering 431 km/h (268 mph). Earlier in October, Koenigsegg took another record from Bugatti, smashing the 0-400-0 km/h record. All data on the day was recorded and verified on site by Racelogic. The fastest top speed for the auto during the event was 284 miles per hour with the other run ringing in at a top speed of 272 miles per hour. The Agera RS is powered by a 5.0 lite V8 engine which is turbo charged, it has a massive 1,380 horsepower. It's so fast in fact that it can accelerate from 0-249mph and back to 0 in just 36.44 seconds.
But that's not the only record the Agera RS has broken. They were a standard set of off-the-rack Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires-simply incredible considering the stresses they would have been put under.
