Miller accused CNN of "anti-Trump hysterical coverage" following the Friday release of the book, which portrays Trump, a former reality TV start who took office almost a year ago, as mentally unstable and unfit for the demands of his job.
Bannon said Donald Trump Jr was "both a patriot and a good man", who had been "relentless in his advocacy for his father". "Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!" Bannon held the position of chief strategist and was, until recently, one of Trump's top advisers - though Trump has tried to distance himself from Bannon after Wolff published the former top advisor's critical comments about the president.
Pressing Miller on the latter topic, Tapper rattled off several issues Bannon had a hand in, such as the Muslim travel ban and the decisions to pull out of the Paris climate accord and the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
Miller said that point was true, calling the president a, 'A self-made billionaire who revolutionized reality TV and who has changed the course of our politics'.
"(Bannon's) role has been greatly exaggerated, whereas the President hasn't gotten the due that he deserves for the movement that he put together to tap into the kinds of people whose life concerns don't get a lot of attention on CNN", Miller said.
But Miller continued to interrupt Tapper saying, "No, do you know who I care about", before his mic was cut and Tapper moved to commercials.
'You get 24 hours of negative, anti-Trump, hysterical coverage on this network hat led in recent weeks to some spectacularly embarrassing false reporting from your network, ' Miller said. "And I think I have wasted enough of our viewer's time", the long time host told Miller.

He added: "At this very hard time our heartfelt sympathies go out to the families and friends of our fallen and wounded brothers". He says Golin "served our nation with courage and distinction, and his death is a loss that will be felt across New Jersey".
When Tapper got to the president's mental fitness, Miller turned it into a full-on slap of CNN, saying there was a "crisis of legitimacy" and a "toxic environment" at the network.
'The president has an approval rating in the 30s, ' the journalist said.
The two squabbled for a minute more, before Tapper had had enough.
"I'm getting to the issue of your fitness", was Miller's riposte.
"I will tell you the one description that everyone gave, everyone has in common: They all say he is like a child", Wolff said in an exclusive interview on NBC's "Today".
Miller refused to answer serious questions about the New York Times report that special counsel Robert Mueller, who is heading the Russian Federation investigation, has in his possession a letter outlining the president's reasoning for firing former FBI Director James Comey - which Miller reportedly had a hand in drafting.
