Thursday's storm raked the East Coast with heavy snowfall, glacial temperatures and high winds, forcing the cancellation of flights.
The wing tip of a China Southern 777 plane struck the tail end of a Kuwait Airways 777, causing damage to both aircrafts, the union representing Port Authority police officers said Saturday.
"But there are more new flights that landed at JFK this morning, parked with passengers waiting to deplane", the website said.
Then the plane, which is used on some of the longest worldwide routes, will fly a very short route: from Stewart to JFK, according to the spokesman for Singapore Airlines said it wasn't clear how long that would take, but business-jet operators estimate the flight time on a small jet at about 30 minutes. JFK ranked No. 1 among destination airports for the most cancellations and delays.
The airline added that it was cooperating with NY authorities to investigate the accident.
There were no reported injuries, the Daily News reported.

Some frustrated passengers have been waiting since Friday for a flight.
By Saturday evening, the Port Authority said it was still working to limit flights coming into JFK until there were enough gates available to handle the backlog.
The agency added that they ramped up staffing and begun utilizing shuttle buses "to bring passengers experiencing delays back to the terminals". Pilot saying airport control is "chaotic". "@NYGovCuomo" said another passenger. He also reported a fellow passenger was going through a medical episode and complained about heart conditions. At midnight, it posted a screen shot of ground traffic at the airport showing what appear to be several dozen planes sitting in apparent waits for gates.
"After landing 3.5 hours ago, #DY7019 awaits a gate".
But the airline said it would not be responsible for arrangements or transportation to/from an alternative airport or hotel or overnight expenses caused by the bad weather. It urged customers to check the status of their flights with airlines before arriving.
The situation comes the same day an American Airlines flight had to return to the airport following takeoff after a mechanical failure.
