Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 47.

Temperatures will also be dropping quickly as arctic air pushes back into Siouxland.

A wind chill advisory is in effect from 3 p.m. Monday to noon Tuesday for southeast Nebraska, southwest Iowa, northwest Missouri and northeast Kansas. Poor visibility and slick roads will be the big hazards. Temperatures will remain steady as our next chance of snow fast-approaches along a cold front that will arrive by midnight.

There will be plenty of sunshine throughout Sunday, and winds will calm down throughout the afternoon and evening.

EXTENDED: Temperatures will hover in the teens on Tuesday, you will need to continue bundling up.

Huge swathe of U.S. hit by winter storm
Whether or not we get a dusting or 5 inches of snow locally, the chief concern of all this is the timing of the storm. These areas could see snowfall rates of an inch per hour for a brief time early Thursday morning.

Sunday: Increasing clouds - High 29.

Today will be mainly sunny with winds up to 15 km/h. Wind: S 10-15. High: 41. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 55. With temperatures falling quickly behind the front, there's a very small window in which a wintry mix is possible late Monday night.

Friday: Partly cloudy with drier weather by the afternoon. Wind chill values as low as 34 early.

Tonight: Low 21 with a 20% chance of snow showers.
