The remaster will also include all of the previously released DLC for Burnout Paradise. "What we created 10 years ago, is as fun and unique today as it was back then", said Matt Webster, General Manager at Criterion Games.
The game invites the players to unleash all their automotive anarchy as is traditional in Burnout Paradise.
Pre-orders are open now for a March 16 release on consoles.
The updated version of the PS3 and Xbox 360 title will have new high-resolution textures and run at a native 1080p resolution on base PS4 and Xbox One consoles, with the option for 4K and 60fps on PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
Burnout Paradise Remastered is rated E10 by the ESRB and is available digitally and in stores for $39.99 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Windows Phone 7.5, 8.0: Microsoft just killed push notification services
It is noteworthy, Microsoft will continue to push out updates to Windows 8.1 and 10 devices. Plus, the "Find my phone" function on those operating systems will no longer work, either.
Burnout Paradise Remastered will also include every single vehicle from Paradise's lifespan and the entire soundtrack, featuring the likes of Guns N' Roses, Jimmy Eat World, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains along with songs from previous Burnout titles. "With the release of this remaster, we're able to share this action-packed ride with a whole new generation of players".
In 2008, the original Burnout Paradise™ came roaring off the starting line ready to demolish the competition.
The obvious question is, where's the Nintendo Switch version?
The remaster is being handled by Stellar Entertainment: a new studio based in Guildford, meaning the team is just a short walk away from from EA and Criterion.
Electronic Arts has been cautious in its approach to the Switch, with commitment limited to a stripped back edition of Federation Internationale de Football Association 18, and the EA Originals release of Fe. EA Access members can dive in on March 9 with the First Play Trial for 10 hours of unrestricted gameplay. The PC version has yet to receive a final release date.
