The current belief is that this post is viral in nature as schools across the United States with the initials "SHS" have been made aware of the same threat. Regardless, Salina USD 305 takes all threats seriously and continues working with law enforcement.
The threat remains under active investigation by the Summit County Sheriff's Office and federal law enforcement partners.
"All student athletes were maintained away from the building during this time with access to shelter, water, restrooms etc.", the Guam High Facebook post said. They have also identified a suspect in the matter.
Parents, police and students across the country were on high alert after a post threatening school violence went viral on social media.
Sanford High School students are on vacation this week. Salisbury police said they have been in contact with other departments also investigating the post.

However, the storm has downgraded significantly, though residents have been told to brace for floods and winds of up to 150km/h. Nearly 200 schools were shut, and New Zealand's national airline cancelled all flights to and from the capital, Wellington.
Several of those schools had extra security at the campuses Thursday morning.
Chief Reynolds said his department reached out to law enforcement in that town they confirmed that they and the Federal Bureau of Investigation were already investigating the threat. Most the departments saying the post originated out of their states.
After investigating the threat, Chief Reynolds said it wasn't local to Silver High but took precautions anyway.
"We have three South Charleston Police officers at our high school and two at Miami View Elementary School today", Southeastern Superintendent David Shea said. Meaning it could be any school that starts with the letter "S".
