The march has been organised to protest the failures of the state BJP government on the farm front, including issues like farm loan waivers, remunerative prices for produce, non-implementation of the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission as well as the Forest Rights Act, he said.
Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) led by veteran Maratha leader Sharad Pawar is organising a protest rally in support of the farmers today in Nashik. "We are sad that farmers have come all the way to protest", he said, adding that the government, which has met some earlier demands, will consider the fresh wish-list.
Nawale, however, said that the march to the Vidhan Bhavan remains unchanged despite the planned talks between the govt and the farmers. Farmers are unhappy with the attitude of the state government towards the condition of their community in the state.
