KGI Analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo has said that Apple could launch up to three new iPhone models this year. The iPhone X now costs $1000 (or approx Rs 65,085), making it the most expensive smartphone from Apple.
The analysts believes that owing to the cost reduction, Apple may position the 5.85-inch model as the cheapest of all three next-generation iPhone models. Lin also added, "Apple has recently determined the direction for its next-generation iPhone lineup - which will consist of two OLED-based iPhones (5.85-inch and 6.45-inch) and a 6.1-inch LCD model". A new report making rounds on the web now suggests that the 5.8-inch model could possibly be the cheapest iPhone model to launch this year, despite the OLED display.
Talking about security, similar to the latest Face ID feature integrated within the new iPhone X, iPad Pro 3 will more than likely be granted the same or an improved version of the security attribute.
The iPhone X is the most expensive smartphone from Apple since it features significant hardware improvements and a design that is quite different than any other iPhone that has ever been released till date, but that is becoming a problem now. A new report out of Taiwan claims that Apple is going to start trial production of this year's iPhones well ahead of schedule. "However, the project was shut mid-February and maybe eventually terminated".
Apple now designs chips for its mobile devices and a move into displays could hurt screen makers like Samsung Electronics Co, Japan Display Inc, Sharp Corp and LG Display Co in the long term.
HTC's flagship Head Mounted Display Vive Pro now available for pre-order
The only option you have right now is to get both a Vive system and the Vive Pro headset, which would cost you a hefty sum. Those who pre-order before June 3rd will receive a 6-month subscription service for Viveport for free.
Apple has changed the name of "Books" in the fourth beta release of iOS 11.3, reverting the name of the iPhone and iPad e-reader app back to its former identity of iBooks after just over a month.
Apple Inc is designing and producing its own device displays for the first time, using a secret manufacturing facility near its California headquarters to make small numbers of the screens for testing purposes, people familiar with the situation said.
However, with the launch of the Samsung (NASDAQOTH: SSNLF) Galaxy S9 series smartphones, the iPhone X's display has some stiff competition.
The top of the line will use an OLED display too, quite a large one 6.45. If Apple were to pass on that savings to customers, the next iPhone X could cost about $900 instead of $999.
It will be interesting to see if the rumored iPhone X SE 2 turns out to be the same iPhone that Lin claimed could be the cheapest of the three iPhones.
