After the game, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl and Alabama strength and conditioning coach Lou Deenen got into a heated verbal exchange after Pearl, who was walking back to his locker room after the handshake line, bumped shoulders with Deenen.
Sexton triggered the second-half rally in which Alabama outscored Auburn 50-22 by scoring 21 of his game-high 31 points.
The top four seeds will take the floor on Friday, with their opponents looking to continue their solid play in St. Louis.
"It's kind of a neutral site for both teams and it'll be a very good mixture of both Bama fans and Auburn fans", junior Taylor Krippner said. "So that's something we do gotta go back and look at and just try to fix it as much as possible". Not a great look for an Auburn team that has already made history but would like to make a lot more starting next week.
