As per reports by Tamil Nadu police, the statue of the founder of the Dravidian movement was vandalised. As per reports, the statue was brought down by suspected BJP workers who were celebrating their party's victory after the recently concluded Assembly elections. The local residents of Kaushambi are planning to file a complaint after the statue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district was found damaged. Mishra said the police rushed to the spot and pacified the irate residents.
On Tuesday, two statues of Russian communist revolutionary Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov or Lenin were knocked down in Tripura's Belonia town. Police has arrested one person in connection with the incident.
