The Arewa youths, who spoke through their national president, Yerima Shettima, said they have heard Buhari's remarks at the Commonwealth Business Forum in London and are biding their time till 2019 to let the President know whether they are actually jobless and lazy.
"This is a very conservative one", Buhari said.
"At the Commonwealth Business Forum in London on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, President Muhammadu Buhari gave a keynote address on Making Business Easier Between Commonwealth Countries".
Adesina described the misinterpretation as mischievous and unconscionable.
Buhari's comments have been widely criticized from all corners, except the Presidency, which defended the statement, saying there was no way the president could have derided all Nigerian youths.
Young Nigerians on social media are still very angry over Nigeria's President, Muhamadu Buhari's Comments in the United Kingdom where he said most Nigerian Youths are lazy, uneducated and want free money. But elementary English recognizes a wide gulf between "a lot of" and the word "all".

Lamido's Campaign Coordinator, however, advised Buhari to treat Nigerian youths as his children, develop them for future leadership, rather than writing them off.
"If you look at the arrangement, the appointment, and how the government relates with the youths of this country, you will see that they do not have respect for the Nigerian youths despite the contributions of the youths".
According to Adesina, "every country has its share of idle population, and it is the bounden duty of government at all levels, to create an enabling environment for them to actualize their potentials. Was President Buhari unaware of this?".
"President Buhari should have instead told the world that this All Progressives Congress (APC) administration has incurred a debt of over N11 trillion in just three years without any completed project, especially socio-economic infrastructural projects that will drive youth entrepreneurship, to show for it in his third anniversary as President".
