They said panic gripped Bonmohalla Hajin in Bandipora this morning when some villagers saw a headless body in an orchard.
"(Militants) believed to be affiliated with LeT, barged into the house of Abdul Gaffar Bhat (father of Manzoor) at Hajin in Bandipora and started to beat up people before abducting father-son duo", the police spokesman had said. His father Ghulam Mohammad Bhat escaped even when he was sacked upon and got hit.
"Fortunately, the father of the killed youth somehow managed to escape from the clutches of his terrorists who abducted him along with his son", said an official who added that he sufferred a bullet injury and was now being treated for that in a hospital.
His beheaded body was recovered by police yesterday. Moreover, reports suggest that a local terrorist, Mohommad Saleem Parrey has a major role in killing the 24-year-old.

So far, police have identified the militants as - Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider.
Last year, a similar case of slitting of throat by the militants surfaced in Hajin.
Former Chief Minister and National Conference working president Omar Abdullah also condemned the killing and asked why there was no anger against the killing. The terrorists kidnapped the youngster and his father named, Manzoor Ahmed Bhat and Abdul Gaffar Bhat. "I'm not surprised", he tweeted.
