AMC Entertainment, which is the largest theatrical exhibitor in the world with approximately 1,000 theaters and 11,000 screens across the globe, won the first licence to operate movie theaters in the kingdom and runs the Riyadh cinema.
AMC will show the movie at a gala opening for its new movie theater Wednesday in the capital of Riyadh, CNN reported.

The theatre is to open to the public this week, and details on how to obtain tickets will be announced on Friday 20 April 2018.

Saudi Arabia launched its first commercial movie theater on Wednesday, ending a almost 40-year ban on cinemas under a push by the crown prince to modernize the deeply conservative Muslim kingdom. The goal over the coming years is to reduce Saudi's economic reliance on oil.
KAFD, which is hosting the first AMC Cinemas complex, is Saudi Arabia's Central Business District which will provide modern, integrated and mixed-use areas, comprising high quality office, residential and hospitality space.
"We're going to show typical Hollywood blockbusters that are very popular in the United States and Europe and elsewhere in the world", AMC CEO Adam Aron said to CNN. "Saudis see movies right now, they love movies, but they watch them at home, they stream them, or they travel outside the kingdom to see movies".
The partnership envisions opening 30 to 40 cinemas in some 15 cities nationwide over the next five years. It said it expects the first venue to open later this year. The UAE chains already cater to regional audiences by subtitling movies in Arabic and removing scenes of a sexual nature.
Over the past several years, Saudi Arabia has gradually been loosening restrictions on movie screenings, with local film festivals and screenings in makeshift theaters.
Supervisor of the cinema sector in Saudi Arabia, Badr Al-Zahrani, said: "The commission has worked a lot during the past months to coordinate with different parties including municipal and rural affairs as well as customs and civil defence to organise the investors' entry to the market".
