Bloomberg has published a report with new details about how Apple plans to leverage its TV app on iOS and Apple TV to add new subscribers to its ecosystem.
The move, which is expected to debut next year, comes as Apple seeks to capitalize on services in an era of stagnant iPhone sales.
Users can now access content from hundreds of apps and cable providers, although a lot require their own subscription that must be obtained directly from each provider. But then Apple sends customers outside its app to buy access to those channels or watch shows. Nobody knows how Apple is going to own original programming works will factor into the subscription service.
Turkey's President says over 4300 terrorists neutralised since Operation Olive Branch
He said at least 4,415 terrorists have been "neutralised" since the launch of Operation Olive Branch in Syria. " Turkey will be even more attractive to investors", the president said.
According to the various reports we've been hearing over the past several months to a year, it seems like Apple is cooking up a bunch of shows ranging from documentaries, TV series, comedy, drama, and so on. It will mean that content acquisition will be streamed for users, but also help to bolster the company's services business which is growing at a rapid rate. A user's Apple payment information is used to pay for video services, and the process is completed via third-party apps.
Amazon Prime allows its users to subscribe to other platforms like HBO and Showtime at a discounted price.
Currently, Apple is said to be one of the major sellers of TV shows and movies, but lags behind in the sales of on-demand services. Netflix and YouTube (owned by rival Alphabet), operate the two largest online video services in the world outside of China. The company flirted with creating an online package of live TV channels before recent efforts by YouTube, Hulu and Dish Network Corp. The networks balked. Instead of the live TV service, Apple launched the TV app in 2016, pulling together content from existing apps.
