Police have not yet publicly identified the alleged shooter, but said the suspect has been taken into custody.
A middle school boy allegedly opened fire at an IN school Friday morning, police said, leaving a teacher and another student injured, the latest IN a string of school shootings this year.
Hospital officials said that another student was being treated for an ankle fracture.
Authorities referred to a prompt and heroic response but didn't confirm accounts of the teacher tackling the student or describe the role of the resource officer who was stationed at the school. The department said a suspect had been taken into custody.
The situation was quickly resolved, and the student was arrested in or near the classroom, police public information officer Lt. Bruce Barnes said.
Authorities say the suspect in a shooting at a suburban Indianapolis middle school shooting is a male student and the victims are a teacher and another student. He rushed into a small room with three other people to hide. "We are securing the high school and taking steps to make sure that it stays secure". The science teacher then bravely swatted the gun away from the shooter, possibly saving others from getting injured.
Iran Faces 'Strongest Sanctions in History'
The new USA demands are so intrusive and broad that Iran's rejection of them seemed all but certain even before Rouhani spoke. Asked how the US will work with European nations to ease the impact of sanctions on their companies, Pompeo gave no ground.
In a statement obtained by WTTV, Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill said the "epidemic of violence sweeping across American schools has now come to Indiana".
"Never thought that this would happen", she said.
The threat prompted a lockdown at the high school, the district said in email to parents.
"Two people have been impacted by this".
Police first learned of a reported active shooter situation at the school was issued at 9:06 a.m. Friday.
"Well, my ex-wife called me and she was hysterical and couldn't even talk", he said. The last day of this school year is in one week, June 1.
Noblesville, which is about 20 miles northeast of Indianapolis, is home to about 50,000 people. Indiana State Police Sergeant John Perrine said the families of the victims have been notified and the students were being taken to Noblesville High School, where parents could pick up their children. "They are at the hospital and they are receiving treatment and I don't know their condition", he said. Arrangements for students returning to school in the coming days were still in process, Barnes and Niedermeyer said. All she said there was shooting at my kid's school.
