The judge in Stormy Daniels' case against Michael Cohen and President Donald Trump responded Friday to Cohen's application for a restraining order prohibiting Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti from talking about the case publicly.
The request, filed on Thursday, sought to keep Avenatti from speaking to the press about Daniels' defamation lawsuit against President Trump and Cohen.
After documents were released by Stormy Daniels's lawyer allegedly linking Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen to a Russian oligarch, many are saying the cases of the porn star and Russian election meddling are converging.
He is now seeking new attorneys, possibly to negotiate a plea deal with the government, multiple outlets reported this week.
The feds have reconstructed the contents of one of Michael Cohen's shredders - 16 pages' worth - and extracted 731 pages of encrypted messages from his phones in their probe of the former President Trump lawyer, it was revealed Friday.
"I'm not anxious because I did nothing wrong, nothing wrong", Trump said.
Trump also called Cohen "a fine person with a wonderful family" and 'a businessman for his own account/lawyer who I have always liked & respected'.
Cohen's legal team in NY is in flux, and his lawyers face a Friday deadline to finish reviewing documents seized in Federal Bureau of Investigation raids on his home and office.

The government has agreed that all the material be reviewed by Cohen by June 25.
"As this Court has probably already surmised, Mr. Avenatti's actions are mainly driven by his seemingly unquenchable thirst for publicity", the motion said.
"For over 12 yrs, Mr. Cohen and his boss Mr. Trump have routinely tried to "shut people up" and hide the truth through intimidation & threats".
In a May 30 hearing, Cohen lawyer Todd Harrison said Cohen's legal team included 15 lawyers and two data specialists working day and night and on weekends, sleeping on couches in the office to try to complete the review as quickly as possible.
Cohen attempted to argue that Avenatti's media appearances could jeopardize his chances at a fair trial.
