A manager at the store told NewsChannel 9 that they would shut down on September 2.
Sears Holdings will close another 100 unprofitable stores after another quarter of losses and slowing sales. Sears said the company will post a list of the store closings later today with liquidation sales coming soon.
Sears Holdings earlier in the day had reported a net loss of $424 million for the first quarter of 2018. Sears attributed two-thirds of the revenue decline to previous store closings.
Officials said eligible employees impacted by the store closures will receive severance and have the opportunity to apply for open positions at other Kmart or Sears stores.
Sears has been a tenant at the Northshore Mall since the early 1960s and has been a "good employer" for many local people, Walsh said.
Earlier this year, Sears sold its Crabtree Valley Mall property back to the mall for almost $20 million but signed a leaseback agreement.
"While we had a challenging first quarter, we remain focused on improving our financial performance and enhancing our liquidity", Sears Chief Executive Officer Edward Lampert said.

Sears previously announced 166 store closings that took effect this year, but the company has been quietly closing additional stores over the past several months, as Business Insider has previously reported. The Sears Auto Center at the Northshore Mall was not included on the list of closings.
The first wave of closures nationwide involves 15 Kmart stores and 48 Sears stores, including Tacoma's.
On Thursday, the company announced it's getting ready to shut down dozens more across the country, some in the Chicago area.
Sears for years has been selling off some of its real estate under sale-leaseback agreements.
"I'm astonished", said Sears shopper Nancy Boren.
Shares of Sears Holdings Corp. fell as much as 13% before the start of regular trading on news of the results.
A person who identified himself as a manager at the Traverse City store, reached by telephone, referred all questions to the corporate media relations department.
