Monday, Warriors general manager Bob Myers-the man who assembled this absurd roster-said the team will do whatever it takes to bring back K.D. He said the back-to-back Finals MVP could have "whatever he wants".
"Sometimes you don't negotiate", Myers told the Associated Press.
Since Durant signed a one-plus-one deal last summer, he will decline his second-year option and therefore become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
A year ago, when Green wore a "quickie" shirt at the parade, in reference to Quicken Loans Arena and the Warriors' five-game victory over the Cavs in the 2017 NBA Finals, James responded on Instagram with another meme - "that's what she said".
The Golden State Warriors celebrated their 2017-18 National Basketball Association championship with a parade in the Bay Area on Tuesday and, just as he did this time previous year, Draymond Green turned up to the event clad in a garment sure to get everyone talking.
Romero misses weight for UFC 225 main event
Earlier in the week, Whittaker was asked whether he would take the fight if Romero missed weight again. Given that he was competing for the UFC belt, he had to make "championship weight" of 185lbs or under.
"We just don't have a lot of vehicles to add players, as far as financial or cap space or even the non-taxpayer mid-level [exception] - things that you'd normally have, we don't have", Myers said. Right from the beginning, he was trolling just with his T-shirt, which poked fun at LeBron James, and continued a tradition from previous year.
"Especially if I continue to approach the game the right way every day like I've been doing, hell yeah". But want him to be happy and want him to know that we want him as long as he wants to be here. "He's earned that to lay out the terms". Durant has pledged to come back, but the futures of Zaza Pachulia, David West, JaVale McGee, and Nick Young are in flux.
Myers also made it clear that the team will focus mainly on re-signing Durant this offseason.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was asked about West's quote on Monday, and downplayed the idea that anything insane was going on behind the scenes. We just cut from a different cloth. Draymond's got two more. "I know when I took this job I thought we could be really good", Kerr said.
