Fans on social media took it as a mocking gesture, but Liverpool manager Klopp claimed to be none the wiser, saying: 'I have no problem with the question but I didn't see his celebration, I was celebrating myself'.
"Being the fastest player to score 50 goals for the club is something great". I know you always expect perfection but we had exactly one session to prepare for this game because the players came back on Thursday (after worldwide duty). He used the time to adjust to what we want, which was really good in the last games he played.
Philippe Coutinho, Luis Suarez and Raheem Sterling have all left Liverpool in recent years in big-money transfers, but Klopp feels the club are now in a position to convince players that staying put is best for their careers. But then he changed his tune when asked if age is a significant factor for the next head coach. "It could be a woman, too". Rice is now a professor of global business and economics at the Stanford Universtiy Graduate School of Business.
"It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn't win any titles", he said. It was not that clear that we controlled the games, but we controlled [this game].
Jordan Henderson was a slight doubt, having missed England's win over Croatia due to a recurrence of a hamstring injury - but the German says he is fit to play. That was not brilliant in the first half, we could have changed the rhythm much more often and we had to change it much more often.
"If a player is in a good moment and you can extend his contract it is more than a signing, it's a statement".
"It ended 3-0 and I don't think any Liverpool supporter would have wanted another result or another performance".
"I think they were both yellow cards", he said.
