Storm Diana set to hit Sussex
The Yellow Warning covers the period between 3am and 2pm tomorrow (Thursday).
Dry in many places at first tonight, but spells of wet and windy weather will spread from the southwest later. Within the warning area expect gusts of 60mph. "The strong winds will also bring some rough seas and large waves, with some coastal impacts possible". "The extensive warning doesn't quite include the whole of Fife, but it is for part of Fife and big swathes of the east coast right up to Dundee". Yet more rain and strong winds expected next Saturday night and on Sunday. "This will come on top of rainfall on Tuesday, and melting snow".
Dundee and the local area has been placed under a flood alert as the country braces itself for Storm Diana.
It has also issued a yellow wind warning covering the majority of the United Kingdom, apart from south-east England and East Anglia until 2pm.
