A relative of Kelsey Berreth - who was last seen on Thanksgiving Day but is presumed dead - tells PEOPLE she was "hoping ... we'd have more concrete details as to why" following a news conference Friday where authorities announced the arrest of Patrick Frazee, Berreth's fiancé and the father of their 1-year-old daughter.
Patrick Frazee, the fiancé of Kelsey Berreth was charged Friday morning with first-degree murder and with solicitation for first-degree murder, in connection with her death, according to Woodland Park Police Chief Miles De Young. Couch said Frazee was in the Teller County jail.
Frazee said he last saw Berreth, a flight instructor, that same day after he picked up their daughter, making him the last known person to see her alive.
Kelsey Berreth, 29, was last seen in a grocery store near her home in Woodland Park, about 15 miles (24 kilometres) from Florissant.
When interviewed by police, Frazee allegedly said that he last saw Berreth when he picked up their 1-year-old daughter on November 22. Frazee had told police that the couple met sometime that afternoon so he could pick up the child.
"Her voice was fine", Cheryl said, noting that they discussed "small things" such as a recipe.
Police had visited property owned by Frazee several times in recent days, according to KRDO radio station in Colorado Springs. Police Chief Miles J. De Young said in a statement Sunday that a search of Frazee's property was completed.
"She's not the kind that runs off", mother Cheryl Berreth said at a press conference on December 10. His home is separate from Berreth's.

Public records show that property associated with Ms Frazee's name in Florissant covers 35 acres.
Mr Loew previously said his client provided police with DNA samples and access to his cellphone.
Berreth's employer, Doss Aviation, received a text message from her cellphone that day saying she planned to take the following week off.
Police started looking for Berreth on December 2 after her mother, Cheryl, asked for a welfare check.
Authorities say her phone was tracked and supposedly found in Gooding, Idaho, almost 800 miles away from her home in Colorado.
Frazee runs a cattle ranch, and prices for the industry have been poor, delaying their plans to find a house and move in together, Cheryl Berreth said.
Investigators with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, the Woodland Park Police Department and the FBI were spotted at Berreth's home Thursday evening carrying large brown bags out of the home, and a firefighter was seen carrying a ladder into the house, CNN affiliate KMGH reported.
