After Trump went on a huge and, to some, troubling tweetstorm over the past weekend, George Conway shared his beliefs on social media suggesting that the president was displaying evidence he was mentally unfit for the challenges of serving in office.
Trump issued another response to his counselor's husband's tweets on Wednesday morning, firing back that "Mr. Kellyanne Conway by those who know him, is very jealous of his wife's success" and referring to Mr. Conway as "a stone cold loser [and] husband from hell!" "You think he should just take that sitting down?" she said.
If Kellyanne Conway hoped her simple statement would end the fight between her boss and her husband, she was badly mistaken.
George Conway, who turned down a Justice Department job in June 2017, once went to bat for Trump to settle a dispute at the Trump World Tower in NY, where the Conways lived at the time.
Golden Tate has hilarious reaction to Giants signing him
Philadelphia acquired him at the trade deadline from Detroit, and he went on to catch 30 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown. That's good, but it's concerning that Tate's two-worst-graded seasons (since his rookie year) have come in 2018 and 2016.
Undeterred, George Conway posted a few tweets in response, saying, "You. Are". Conway has been pushing a narrative that Trump is a narcissist who has lost his marbles. "I have reluctantly concluded, however, that, for me and my family, this is not the right time for me to leave the private sector and take on a new role in the federal government".
He also doubled down on his jabs about Trump's mental health by sharing a still of Humphrey Bogart as the paranoid, mentally ill leader Captain Queeg from the 1954 film The Caine Mutiny. Most recently, he made claims about Trump's mental health, tweeting last Sunday that "his condition is getting worse".
In a new, brief phone interview with Politico's Daniel Lippman, Kellyanne sided with Trump, saying he could fire her for her husband being such a distraction and tell her to go home and be with her kids. "Kellyanne Conway' is great", Borger said to anchor Brooke Baldwin. Trump told reporters Wednesday on the White House grounds, "I think he's doing a tremendous disservice to a wonderful woman".
"George was so excited, literally crying with joy in his MAGA hat ― black, not red ― with his MAGA hat on election night", she told CNN. She is a trusted member of his White House inner circle. "The mendacity, the incompetence, it's just maddening to watch".
I say this only half-jokingly: Are the Conways going to live-tweet their divorce?
