Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Alex Camacho said the Ford F250 driven by the 22-year-old Norton crashed into a concrete barrier on State Road 836 near Miami.
Dolphins defensive lineman Kendrick Norton has been involved in what could be a career-ending vehicle crash. However, it appears the injuries he suffered may result in the end of his football career. Norton is in critical condition while being treated at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Defensive tackle Kendrick Norton was among those injured in Thursday's crash where the Dolphin Expressway and Palmetto Expressway meet.
The Dolphins announced Norton was involved in the crash. Paramedics needed to amputate the left arm of the former Miami Hurricanes standout to extract him from the vehicle, a source told the newspaper.
Rahul Gandhi officially resigns as Congress president
"As President of the Congress Party, I am responsible for the loss of the 2019 election". Gandhi's letter, which comes 40 days after he submitted his resignation, is significant.
Norton joined the Dolphins back in December after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. After spending most of a season on the practice squad in Carolina, he signed with the Miami Dolphins, and finished the year there.
This is certainly a sad situation for everyone involved and we are sending prayers Norton's way. The 6-foot-3, 314-pound defensive lineman had 84 tackles in three seasons at Miami in college, including five sacks.
