The first two new Toys R Us stores - one in Texas, the other in New Jersey - will open in November as part of a small comeback of the defunct iconic toy chain in the U.S.
"We have an incredible opportunity to entirely reimagine the Toys "R" Us brand in the USA and are thrilled to partner with b8ta and key toy vendors to create a new, highly-engaging retail experience designed for kids, families and to better fit within today's retail environment", Barry said.
More details are promised on the return of Toys" R " Us over the coming months.
However, the first two stores-located at The Galleria in Houston, Texas and at Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey-will open in 2019 ahead of the holiday season.
While Toys "R" Us built its brand around the idea of being "the biggest toy store there is", its new stores will be more in line with its new reality-smaller and taking up less real estate, reportedly spanning between 6,500 and 10,000 square feet, compared with the sprawling 40,000-square-foot footprint of their former incarnation.

Camp said police would be following up with the district attorney's office, OSHA, and the medical examiner's office. In January 2019 Alabama lawmakers passed a measure tightening regulations on traps to make them more secure.
Toys "R" Us plans to open another 70 stores overseas as well.
AP wire stories helped contribute to this report. "In partnership with Richard and his team, we are excited to bring back Toys R Us in an immersive way, focused on creating a fun and engaging experience for kids-and adults, too". It won't feel particularly familiar to the original customers of the mega-massive toy store chain, anyway. After all, Toys R Us had annual sales of $11.5 billion when it filed for bankruptcy. The company hopes the new locations will be "must-visit" destinations for parents and their children. Instead, they'll be popping up inside another dying retail experience: shopping malls.
Finally, the new company will be opening job fairs in regions that were affected by store closures if Toys" R " Us returns to those areas, with the hope of hiring ex-employees. In the past, a store like Toys R Us would buy product from each individual brand or brand representative, then sell each product at their own risk in a very traditional retail manner.
Unlike the rows of shelves that cluttered old Toys "R" Us stores, the new locations will have interactive and playground-like environments for toy brands.
